The Vista del Lago Eagles will head out to face off against the St. Francis Troubadours at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Vista del Lago got the win against Bella Vista by a conclusive 60-37. The Eagles pushed the score to 44-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Broncos cut but never quite recovered from.

Kelsey Brooks and Bella Pallari were among the main playmakers for Vista del Lago as the former almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards and the latter posted 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Pallari is becoming a predictor of Vista del Lago's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 6-3 (and 5-12 when she doesn't). Adalai Lawson was another key player, putting up a point in addition to nine boards and four steals.
Vista del Lago smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. Francis beat Davis Sr. 60-56 on Friday.
Vista del Lago better focus on containing Sydney Teoh and Layla Hernandez as the pair were huge in St. Francis' win. Teoh went 8-for-18 to rack up 26 points and six rebounds, while Hernandez went 7-for-9 on her way to 14 points along with seven boards and three steals. What's more, Teoh also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Tayli Paeu-Lindgren, who scored eight points in addition to 11 rebounds and four steals.
Vista del Lago's record is now 11-15. As for St. Francis, their record is now 12-16.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Vista del Lago has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.2 boards per game. However, it's not like St. Francis struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Vista del Lago didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against St. Francis in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-53 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vista del Lago since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
