The biggest upset of the week belonged to United North Central co-op [Menahga/Sebeka], who took down 160th ranked Osakis, 22-14.
Barnesville added to the longest winning streak in Prairie - North this week by beating Upsala/Swanville, 61-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Trojans.
Long Prairie-Grey Eagle's dynamic duo of Tommy Geisenhof and Preston Pung proved to be unstoppable against Wadena-Deer Creek, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Geisenhof threw for 63 yards and 1 touchdown and Pung had 33 yards receiving. Sam Ecker helped Long Prairie-Grey Eagle's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 30 yards.
Dylan Dumpprope was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Wolverines defeated the Thunder. He racked up 2 sacks.
Nick Carlson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Wadena-Deer Creek bested Long Prairie-Grey Eagle.
Upsala/Swanville's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyler Evans has thrown for 359 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Jordan Sales has 14 catches for 257 yards.
The Patriots' Mitch Lange needs only 29 yards against the Warriors next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Lange has rushed for 971 yards on 140 carries so far this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Upsala/Swanville takes on United North Central co-op [Menahga/Sebeka]. Jay Loven's team is in second place, while Jeremy Nordick's team is in third place.
The Warriors moved up to 197 from 229 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. United North Central co-op [Menahga/Sebeka] climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Silverstreaks 22-14.
