After three games on the road, Elsinore is heading back home. They will take on the Vista del Lago Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Elsinore will be strutting in after a victory while Vista del Lago will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Elsinore beat Hemet 44-31. The win was just what Elsinore needed coming off of a 42-20 defeat in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Ashirah Williams, who scored 14 points along with four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Iree Mativa, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Vista del Lago's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by Canyon Springs 54-21. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Vista del Lago in their matchups with Canyon Springs: they've now lost five in a row.
Elsinore's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Vista del Lago, they bumped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Elsinore against Vista del Lago in their previous meeting on January 5th as the squad secured a 63-12 win. Will Elsinore repeat their success, or does Vista del Lago have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
