Even though the Carlsbad Lancers scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, the Olympian Eagles still came out on top. Olympian snuck past Carlsbad with a 67-63 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Olympian.
It was another big night for Asia Darcuiel, who scored 23 points along with nine steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Olympian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Agpaoa, who scored 19 points.
Olympian's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Carlsbad, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.
Olympian will be playing in front of their home fans against Mater Dei Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Mater Dei Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday. As for Carlsbad, they will head out on the road to take on Sage Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
