The Orestimba Warriors waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They came out on top against Mariposa County by a score of 35-24. That's another feather in the cap for Orestimba, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Orestimba got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashlynn Bell out in front who scored three points along with nine steals and eight rebounds. Bell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Gray, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Orestimba is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Mariposa County, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orestimba will square off against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Delhi comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Mariposa County, they will head out on the road to challenge the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Denair focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
