Mt. Pleasant dropped their record down to 7-5 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Classical Purple by a score of 13-12. The Kilties were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Purple earlier this season, when they won 12-2.
Classical's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For Classical's part, Silas McKay was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. What's more, McKay posted three hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Josiah Niyahkoon was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.
