Banning is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Carson is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Pilots will welcome the Colts at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Banning's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Carson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Banning's tournament run continued when they took on Bell on Saturday. The Pilots came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 7-3.

Angelo Duarte was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Jared Nakazawa was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Carson hadn't done well against Taft recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Colts were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Toreadors. Considering the Colts have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Carson got a massive performance out of James Markel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Fernando Barajas, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Carson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Banning is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Carson, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
Banning beat Carson 4-0 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Pilots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
