Colusa is a perfect 10-0 against Willows since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The RedHawks will venture away from home to face off against the Honkers at 4:00 p.m. Willows took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Colusa, who comes in off a win.
Colusa is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Paradise on Thursday as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the RedHawks.
Colusa got a great performance from Juan Ramirez as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Ramirez has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mason Gutierrez, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carlos Franco, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Colusa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paradise only posted an OBP of .263.
Meanwhile, Willows was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Durham. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Honkers have suffered since March 4th.
Willows saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charles Squier, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Hunter Davidson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Willows' defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Colusa, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-15.
Colusa's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The RedHawks have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Willows, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Colusa continue to outrun the ball?
Colusa took their victory against Willows in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the RedHawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
