Alex Flores was her usual excellent self, going 10-for-20 en route to 32 points along with five assists and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 41.3% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Aissis Ascensio, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.
Meanwhile, Katella didn't have too much trouble with Western on Thursday as they won 53-36. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won three in a row.
Corona's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Katella, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
