Clear Lake and Las Lomas squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Clear Lake had to settle for second. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Clear Lake saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Bruch JR, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Clear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Las Lomas, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11-1 record this season.

Clear Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Las Lomas, they will challenge Menlo School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Menlo School will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Las Lomas surely won't give up without a fight.
