Robinson has gone 4-0 against Lake Norman Charter recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Robinson Bulldogs just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Lake Norman Charter Knights at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Robinson sitting on nine straight wins and Lake Norman Charter on three.
On Thursday, Robinson was fully in charge, breezing past South Rowan 78-33. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for David Frazier, who went 8 of 10 en route to 19 points and five steals. CJ Miranda was another key player, putting up 15 points.
Robinson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, on FridayCarson kept up with Lake Norman Charter until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Lake Norman Charter blew past Carson 74-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Knights have posted against the Cougars since December 10, 2021.
Lake Norman Charter's win came from a few key players Robinson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Major Leak, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 19 points in addition to five assists and four steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin McConneyhead, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists.
Robinson pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.2 points per game. As for Lake Norman Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Robinson strolled past Lake Norman Charter in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 74-57. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Lake Norman Charter's Braden Wilkie, who posted 21 points and eight boards.
