Port of Los Angeles is 9-1 against Locke since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Polar Bears will host the Saints at 3:00 p.m. Port of Los Angeles is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Port of Los Angeles came out on top against Fremont on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Polar Bears walked away with an 8-3 win over the Pathfinders.

Jonathan Rosette made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Port of Los Angeles is 7-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-6 otherwise. Rosette was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Damian Ochoa, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Port of Los Angeles is undefeated when Ochoa posts three or more hits, but 6-8 otherwise. Jaydan Lamadrid was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
Port of Los Angeles was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Locke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against King/Drew, falling 25-4.
Locke's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Port of Los Angeles, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Everything went Port of Los Angeles' way against Locke when the teams last played back in April, as Port of Los Angeles made off with a 12-1 victory. Do the Polar Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
