The Carson Colts lost against the San Pedro Pirates back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Carson took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Pedro. Carson has not had much luck with San Pedro recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Several Colts players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Robyn Raphiel, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Raphiel hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Monica Hayden, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Pedro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noelani Raigans, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Raigans is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maia Wooldridge, who scored 13 points along with five blocks.
Carson's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for San Pedro, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carson will take on Narbonne at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Pedro, they will head out on the road to challenge Banning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
