Hanover Central hasn't had much luck against Morgan Township recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will take on the Cherokees at 7:00 p.m.

Despite their defeat, Hanover Central saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sienna Stilley, who posted 12 points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Stilley is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Beach, who put up nine points.
Meanwhile, Morgan Township came tearing into Wednesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 62-31 victory over the Hawks. The Cherokees have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 28 points or more this season.
Hanover Central better keep an eye on Saffy Thompson-Woods. She was instrumental in Morgan Township's win, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Parsons, who went 6-for-9 en route to 17 points and five steals.
Morgan Township smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Hanover Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Morgan Township, their record is now 7-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hanover Central has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 20.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Morgan Township struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Hanover Central came up short against Morgan Township in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 38-31. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
