The South Tahoe Vikings will square off against the Wooster Colts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in South Tahoe's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
Wooster's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: South Tahoe hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Vikings' pitchers stepped up to hand Sparks a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday.

Cruz Hernandez made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. South Tahoe is 2-1 when Hernandez allows two or fewer hits, but 5-16 otherwise. Hernandez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Kyle Herrera looked comfortable as he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
Back at the plate, Stone Chavarri was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Wooster's offense. They lost 15-0 to North Valleys on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Colts were not able to get on the board.
South Tahoe's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-17. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Wooster, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. South Tahoe has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wooster struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
South Tahoe might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Wooster when the teams last played on April 2nd. Will the Vikings have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
