The Jamestown Muskies lost against the Mercer Mustangs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Jamestown had to suffer through a rough 54-22 loss at the hands of Mercer. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jamestown has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Jamestown saw an underclassman step up: Alayna Cadman scored 13 points. Cadman scored a full 59.1% of Jamestown's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Audra Thomas, who scored five points.
Jamestown now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Mercer, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Jamestown will head out on the road to face off against Farrell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mercer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reynolds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Reynolds will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while Mercer is ranked 284th).
