Conemaugh Township's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ava Byer, who posted 11 points along with six boards and three steals, and Mayce Kordell, who put up nine points and three steals. Kordell has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.
Meanwhile, Portage beat Everett 50-40 on Friday.
Portage's win came from a few key players Conemaugh Township will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kendall Bednarski, who earned 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Liana Bagby, who posted seven points along with eight boards and four steals.
