Even though the Summers County Bobcats scored an imposing 68 points on Friday, the WestSide Renegades still came out on top. WestSide came out on top in a nail-biter against Summers County and snuck past 71-68. That result was just more of the same for these two, as WestSide also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2015.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead WestSide to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Bishop, who scored 26 points along with three steals. The match was Bishop's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden French, who scored 19 points.
WestSide's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Summers County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
WestSide's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lincoln County at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Summers County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wyoming East at 7:30 p.m.
