Everything went their way against Rio Americano on Saturday as El Capitan made off with a 53-27 win. With El Capitan ahead 36-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
El Capitan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avnoor Bains, who scored 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Felicity Parker, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, East Union didn't have too much trouble with Gregori at home on Friday as they won 51-37. The win was just what East Union needed coming off of a 69-45 loss in their prior matchup.
El Capitan's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for East Union, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
