Open Bible Christian extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 1-7. They came up short against Corinth Christian Academy, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Corinth Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-6 back in March.

Troy DeDios made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
As for Corinth Christian Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.
On Corinth Christian Academy's side, Kyler Hart made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hart was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Smith, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Corinth Christian Academy is undefeated when Smith posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Mason Ratliff, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Coincidentally, Open Bible Christian and Corinth Christian Academy will both be playing Scintilla Charter Academy the next time they take the field. Corinth Christian Academy will host Scintilla Charter Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Open Bible Christian will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
