While Newell-Fonda put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Storm Lake St. Mary. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Panthers. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by eight runs or more this season.

Newell-Fonda is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Storm Lake St. Mary, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Newell-Fonda didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-2 victory against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire on the 19th. As for Storm Lake St. Mary, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-1 win against West Bend-Mallard on the 19th.
