Mountain View and Saratoga are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Mountain View Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Saratoga Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Mountain View is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Saratoga in California (Mountain View is ranked 293rd, while Saratoga is ranked 816th).
Mountain View put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Cupertino 58-26 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Mountain View has posted since December 8, 2023.
Alana Hernandez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Kim, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Saratoga can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They managed a 38-32 victory over Cupertino.
Mountain View has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Saratoga, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
Mountain View strolled past Saratoga in their previous matchup on January 3rd by a score of 53-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain View since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
