Even though the Wes-Del Warriors scored an imposing 60 points on Saturday, the Tri-Central Trojans still came out on top. Tri-Central snuck past Wes-Del with a 65-60 win. This was payback for Tri-Central, who suffered a 63-59 loss the last time these two teams met.
Tri-Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Drake Ramseyer out in front who scored 13 points along with seven assists and four steals. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Jankoviak, who scored 11 points.
Tri-Central pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Wes-Del, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-Central and Rossville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Rossville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. As for Wes-Del, they will head out on the road to face off against Delta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
