Baseball Recap: Rowland's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Rowland barely beat Rosemead the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rowland Raiders never let the Rosemead Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Logan Dwyer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Rowland let Nathanael Li and David Garcia run wild. Li scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Garcia scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Garcia posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. CJ Carrillo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Rowland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.8.

The victory (which was Rowland's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Rosemead, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rowland will take on Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rosemead, they will square off against Pioneer at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
