After flying high against the Atascadero Greyhounds last Thursday, the Lompoc Braves came back down to earth. Lompoc fell 48-36 to Templeton on Tuesday. Lompoc was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Templeton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Braves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tara Terrones, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals. Terrones has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Gallegos, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Lompoc dropped their record down to 5-15 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Templeton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Pioneer Valley the next time they take the court. Templeton will host Pioneer Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Lompoc will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
