The Harbor Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Gunn Titans at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Harbor's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so Gunn's offense will have their work cut out for Gunn.
Harbor scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past KIPP San Jose Collegiate 57-17 at home. That looming 57-17 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Harbor yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harbor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samantha Herrera, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Malalai Etamadi, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Gunn, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were the victim of a tough 42-22 loss at the hands of Prospect on Monday. While losing is never fun, Gunn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1164th, while Prospect is ranked 332nd).
The victory makes it two in a row for Harbor and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Gunn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
