The Banning Pilots were the  31-27 winner over the Gardena Panthers when they last played one another  back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The  contest between  the pair wasn't particularly close, with Banning falling  36-22.
  Joshlyn Harris and  Lluviastar Hernandez certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss.  Harris  scored six points along with 11  rebounds and two  blocks, while  Hernandez  scored three points along with nine  rebounds.
 Gardena was led to victory by  Lauren Tobin-Williams and  India Cage.  Tobin-Williams  scored 12 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals, while  Cage  scored six points along with six  steals. Another player making a difference was  De'Ajanae Reed, who  scored five points along with two  steals.
 Banning's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Gardena, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  at home.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Banning will take on San Pedro at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. San Pedro will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Gardena, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rancho Dominguez at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Rancho Dominguez is coming into the  matchup on a four-game losing streak.
