Mid Valley is 4-0 against the Foresters since December of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mid Valley Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Forest City Foresters at 6:45 p.m. Mid Valley will be strutting in after a win while the Foresters will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Mid Valley was able to grind out a solid win over the Crusaders, taking the game 49-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mid Valley.
Mid Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Krista Cortazar led the charge by scoring nine points along with six steals. Cortazar is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Chiara Zavislak, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Forest City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Mountain View on the road and fell 57-8.
Mid Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Forest City, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything came up roses for Mid Valley against the Foresters in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 52-12 victory. With Mid Valley ahead 45-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.
