Noah Sison made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has become a key player for Las Lomas: the team is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10-1 otherwise. Sison was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
Sison wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cruz Lopez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Jack Pardella was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Healdsburg got themselves on the board against Arroyo on Saturday, but Arroyo never followed suit. They blew past the Dons 6-0. The result was nothing new for the Greyhounds, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Alex Mauro-Manos, who gave up just four hits to keep Arroyo off the board. Mauro-Manos has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carter Cyphers, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of John Wallace, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Healdsburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.1 runs over those games. As for Las Lomas, their record now sits at 14-11-1.
