Greeley West is 1-7 against Fossil Ridge since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Spartans will look to defend their home field against the SaberCats at 3:30 p.m. Greeley West will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Greeley West needed a bit of extra time to put away Roosevelt. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Roughriders, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since August 29, 2024.
Amaya Cron spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
