After two games on the road, Forest City is heading back home. They will take on the Blue Ridge Raiders at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Forest City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 627th, while Blue Ridge is ranked 258th).
Forest City lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Monday was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 67-28 defeat at the hands of Mid Valley. Forest City has not had much luck with Mid Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Blue Ridge had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top against Susquehanna by a score of 77-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Forest City dropped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Blue Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
Forest City might still be hurting after the 83-58 loss they got from Blue Ridge when the teams last played back in January. Will Forest City have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
