The Northridge Academy Pumas had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against Panorama by a score of 46-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northridge Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.
Despite the loss, Panorama still got an impressive performance from YESSENIA QUEZADA, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 51.5% of Panorama's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was RONAH Nantongo, who scored two points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.
Northridge Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Panorama, their loss dropped their record down to 3-19.
Northridge Academy will head out on the road to square off against Sherman Oaks CES at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sherman Oaks CES is on a three-game streak of home wins, Northridge Academy a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Panorama will take on Magnolia Science Academy 5 at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Magnolia Science Academy 5's defense has only allowed 25.2 points per game this season, so Panorama's offense will have their work cut out for them.
