 Aleigha Henderson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Henderson was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with four  runs, three  RBI,  and two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Scottie Smith, who  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That  run was  her first of the season.  Maddy Feger was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  triple and two  RBI.
 Mexico was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .385 or higher in three consecutive  matches.
Mexico's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hallsville,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mexico will host Kirksville  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Hallsville, they will face off against Salisbury at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
