The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Georgia Christian has five straight wins, Fullington Academy has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Georgia Christian beat Hamilton County on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

Jett Guilliams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having also posted three or more RBI the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Georgia Christian got a big performance out of Mac Bowling, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Carson Hanks was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Georgia Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Fullington Academy scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Crisp Academy, falling 17-7.
Garlan Godfrey was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Will Greer, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Georgia Christian pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.4 runs. As for Fullington Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Fullington Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Georgia Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. It's a different story for Fullington Academy, though, as they've only averaged .185. Will they be able to contain Georgia Christian's hitters?
Georgia Christian couldn't quite get it done against Fullington Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 as they fell 13-10. Can Georgia Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
