Chowchilla took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Kings Christian, who comes in off a win.
Kings Christian put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-24 win over Laton at home.
Meanwhile, Chowchilla was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 55-51 to Fowler. Chowchilla has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Chowchilla saw an underclassman step up: Nour Escheik dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. Escheik is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 12 games she's played. Shalaya Moore was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Kings Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Chowchilla, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11.
