University City had a senior duo take command as Kianna Lefear threw for 287 yards and five TDs and Courtlyn Mitchell picked up 153 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 153 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Mitchell.
University City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Hayden Goldstein, Mitchell, and Wendy Valdez picked up one apiece.
University City's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Castle Park, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.
Coming up, University City will face off against Point Loma at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Castle Park, they will square off against Montgomery at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aztecs will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
