The Hebron Christian Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Apalachee Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hebron Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
While Hebron Christian's victory against Westminster wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions skirted past the Wildcats 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since September 13th.

Hebron Christian got a great performance from Kate Kennedy as she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Kennedy has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lauren Kyranakis was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Rylie Walker, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Apalachee was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Loganville, falling 18-0. The shutout was out of character for the Wildcats seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.
Apalachee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Rudell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
Hebron Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Apalachee, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
Hebron Christian's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Lions have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Apalachee, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Hebron Christian continue to outrun the ball?
Hebron Christian took their win against Apalachee in their previous matchup back in August by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
