Even though the Grand Terrace Titans have not done well against the Cajon Cowboys recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. It was close, but Grand Terrace ultimately received the gift of a 41-38 win from a begrudging Titanssquad. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Cajon is ranked 696th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Mikhia Anderson, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Mikayla Doud was another key contributor, scoring a points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Grand Terrace pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Cajon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Grand Terrace will be home for the holidays to greet Indian Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cajon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ontario Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 26th.
