Carthage had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They strolled past the East Newton Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Carthage's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for East Newton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Carthage will look to defend their home court on December 26th against Earle at 4:00 p.m. East Newton will take on Clever in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
