Softball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Northside

Northside came out on top against Central on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Eagles never let the Chargers get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.

Kadence Cooley was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Brynli Burch was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was E'Vejia Burgman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Northside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win made it two in a row for Northside and bumps their season record up to 10-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Northside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-0 defeat against Houston County on the 9th. As for Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Bleckley County on the 9th.
