Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kearny). They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Castle Park Trojans on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Komets as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Nicolas Hembera was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Jovan Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Kearny's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Castle Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kearny will welcome Crawford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Komets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season. As for Castle Park, they will host High Tech CV at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
