Turkeyfoot Valley Area's loss came despite strong showings from Kiley Mitchell and Maleigha Younkin. Mitchell scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds, while Younkin scored 7 points. Mitchell scored a full 32.3% of Turkeyfoot Valley Area's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Laurel Daniels was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with 8 rebounds for Meyersdale. Jessica Daughton was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Meyersdale, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area will be playing at home against Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Meyersdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Northern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
