Baseball Recap: Crown Point Wins Going Away Against Moline

Crown Point won against Lake Central on Wednesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Bulldogs blew past the Moline Maroons 9-2. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Sean Dunlap was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Gaines, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Crown Point hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

Crown Point's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. As for Moline, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-11.

Coincidentally, Crown Point and Moline will both be playing Homestead the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Maroons will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
