Have a take and don't suck. That's the tag line of radio legend Jim Rome and while we don't know much about his son's hot takes,
Logan Rome definitely isn't sucking this season on the mound for the
University (Irvine, Calif.) baseball team.
Logan, the youngest son of the famed Jim Rome Show host, has made a team-high 10 appearances this season. The senior reliever is 2-0 with a 2.33 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 21 innings.
Referred to as "Rogan Lome" on his father's show, Logan is a righty sidearm pitcher who has been relied upon in some of Trojans' biggest moments this season. March 2 against Laguna Hills, he came on in relief of junior
Austen Barnett and didn't allow a hit or run while striking out three to help the Trojans win 2-1 in the 10th inning.

Logan is following in his brother Jake's footsteps in the baseball program at University. Jake was on the squad from 2016-18 and in the 2023 alumni game, the brothers faced one another.
Jake went 2-for-3 but the out came against Logan when he grounded out.
"Tremendous day," Jim Rome said on Instagram. "Extremely proud of both these dudes. Jake is finishing up his senior year at the University of Wisconsin and Logues is finishing his senior year at UNI and looking at colleges currently."

Before the season began, Logan threw at the UC Santa Barbara Prospect Camp.
University has a proud baseball past with alumni that include Tim Wallach (2,085 MLB hits) and Garrett Atkins, who hit a home run in the 2007 World Series for the Colorado Rockies. In 1986 Will Ferrell – yes that Will Ferrell – helped the Trojans win back-to-back Sea View League championships.
Next up for Rome and Trojans is a three-game series against Irvine beginning on Tuesday.
