The Sharpsville Blue Devils suffered their biggest loss since December 20, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 68-38 loss at the hands of Wilmington. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sharpsville in their matchups with Wilmington: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Sharpsville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Macie Steiner. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points.
Sharpsville's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Wilmington, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sharpsville will face off against Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Wilmington's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st.
