The El Toro Chargers won against the Mission Viejo Diablos last Thursday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. El Toro simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mission Viejo 60-14 at home. With El Toro ahead 38-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Leading El Toro to victory were Mia Cubacub and Mariana Mina. Cubacub scored 20 points, while Mina scored 23 points along with five assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mina has scored all season. Camryn Bradshaw was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds.
El Toro has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Mission Viejo, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-15.
El Toro will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Dana Hills at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Dana Hills' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Mission Viejo, they will head out on the road to take on Capistrano Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Capistrano Valley has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
