Softball Recap: Wapsie Valley Beats Starmont for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Wapsie Valley had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Starmont Stars with a sharp 9-2 win. Considering the Warriors have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wapsie Valley's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Starmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-23.

Wapsie Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-5 victory against Calamus-Wheatland on the 12th. Starmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
