The West Charlotte Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Chambers 78-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Charlotte has scored all season.
Despite the loss, West Charlotte had strong showings from Amen Pressley, who scored 12 points, and Damani Day, who scored ten points.
It was another big night for Jordan Patton, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds for Chambers. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maurio Hanson II, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
West Charlotte has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Chambers, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Charlotte the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome North Mecklenburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. North Mecklenburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,358 points over their last 16 games. As for Chambers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mallard Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mallard Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while Chambers is ranked 27th).
