Kelvin Washington Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Longview got the W thanks in part to Kelvin Washington playing the best football he has all season. Washington rushed for 381 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
On the year, Washington has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 39.6 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 11.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when Falcons challenges Rockwall-Heath at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bey will face off against Prosper Neal, the Hawks' star signal caller. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Rickert Posts Huge Game in 63-34 Loss
Rockwall was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Brent Rickert did his best to prevent it. Rickert was unstoppable, throwing for 394 yards and five touchdowns.
Rockwall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. Rickert and Rockwall will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Forney at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.
