While Westlake's win against New Manchester wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Jaguar 14-13 on Thursday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Jaguar recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Westlake's record now sits at 9-2. As for New Manchester, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Coming up, Westlake will host Carrollton at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for New Manchester, they are taking a road trip to challenge Langston Hughes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguar are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
